Michael Kamkar

Michael Kamkar is a Senior Data Engineer at Petal since March 2021, specializing in the development of data architectures, including data tiers and data mesh systems. Previously, as a Data Engineer at Crossmedia from September 2019 to March 2021, Michael built database infrastructure to support client dashboards and reporting. Michael's career began at HYPRES from November 2015 to January 2019 as a Test Engineer, where responsibilities included creating automated test plans and enhancing software testing capabilities. Earlier experience includes an internship at Rodwell Research Group from July 2014 to June 2015, contributing to research in nanometer scaled Indium Phosphide HBT under Professor Mark Rodwell. Michael holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physics from UC Santa Barbara, completed in 2015.
