Dr. Thomas Hartwig has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Dr. Thomas currently holds the position of Chief Economist at Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Research at the same company from June 2012 to September 2022. Before joining Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG, they worked as the Market Supervisor of the ConTex at VHSS since November 2007. From October 2005 to May 2012, they held the role of Head of Risk Management at HF Navigator GmbH. Additionally, they have worked as an Analyst at Freight Investor Services and Thurlestone Shipping Ltd. in 2006.
Dr. Thomas Hartwig earned their Dipl. Kaufmann degree in Economics from the University of Hamburg, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Furthermore, they also obtained a certification in Diplom Kaufmann from Universität Hamburg in October 2005.
