Tralynna Scott

Chief Economist at Cherokee Nation Businesses

Tralynna Scott, JD, MTax, currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Tulsa College of Law and holds the position of Chief Economist for Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB) since May 2005. In this role, Tralynna conducts research on economic policy and advises top executives on global economic conditions. Previously, Tralynna has served as the Director of Corporate Tax at CNB, overseeing taxation for over 50 subsidiaries, and has worked as an attorney, specializing in tax matters. Tralynna’s experiences also include roles as an Investment Analyst II, Financial Reporting Analyst II, and a Leadership Development Candidate, where skills in management and analysis were developed. Additionally, since August 2019, Tralynna has been the Special Envoy to the U.S. Department of Treasury for the Cherokee Nation. Tralynna holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, a Juris Doctor from The University of Tulsa College of Law, and a Master of Taxation from The University of Tulsa.
