Dr. Felix Riese

Dr. Felix Riese has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Dr. Felix is currently working at Peter Park as the Head of Product and previously held the position of Senior Product Manager at the same company.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Riese worked at OmicEra Diagnostics where they held multiple roles. Dr. Felix started as a Data Scientist, then became a Senior Data Scientist where they led the development of a new proteomics data analysis suite and also acted as the product owner of an internal machine-learning platform. Later on, they transitioned to the role of Data Science Manager, where they led a team of two data scientists and implemented initiatives for continuous improvement in software development, while also overseeing the development of the proteomics data analysis suite and acting as the product owner for the ML platform.

Before joining OmicEra Diagnostics, Dr. Riese worked as an MBA Consultant at Roche and as a Data Scientist at their own scientific consulting firm. Dr. Felix also had a role as a Data Science Intern at Regrow Ag.

Their earliest work experience was as a Researcher and Ph.D. Candidate at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT). During their time there, they conducted research in AI and remote sensing, focusing on the development and application of machine learning tools for soil moisture estimation and land-use analysis. Dr. Felix also published numerous papers, presented at conferences, and supervised students.

Additionally, Dr. Riese has lectured at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) as a University Lecturer.

Dr. Felix Riese's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) between 2011 and 2014. Dr. Felix further pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Particle Physics from the same institution, completing it in 2017. Dr. Riese then went on to earn a Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) degree in Artificial Intelligence & Remote Sensing from KIT, with the program spanning from 2017 to 2020.

In addition to their degrees, Dr. Riese has also attained various certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Dr. Felix obtained the "Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals" certification from Coursera in February 2023, the "Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)" certification from LinkedIn in November 2022, the "Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I)" certification from Scrum.org in June 2022, and the "Ultimate AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Udemy in December 2021.

Moreover, Dr. Riese has completed several online courses on Coursera, including "MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) Fundamentals" in January 2021, "Convolutional Neural Networks" in December 2018, "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" in November 2018, "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" in November 2018, and "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" in November 2018.
