John Madura

John Madura is a highly skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in automotive and electric vehicle battery investigations, currently serving as an Associate at PETER R. THOM AND ASSOCIATES INC. since August 2018. As Lead Investigator, John has successfully completed over 100 investigations related to automotive failures and accident reconstruction. Prior roles include Senior System Technical Lead at Monarch Tractor, overseeing the development of semi-autonomous electric tractors, and Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories, where John led R&D teams in product lifecycle management. Holding a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, along with multiple degrees from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, John also has experience in eco-efficiency in semiconductor manufacturing and a background in competitive rowing, representing the USA in international championships.
