Yeling Tan is a prominent academic in public policy, currently serving as a Professor of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, since January 2024. Tan holds additional positions as a non-resident senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics and a non-resident fellow at the 21st Century China Center, UC San Diego. Previously, Tan was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Oregon until January 2024, and a Fellow at the World Economic Forum within the Global Future Council on the Future of International Trade and Investment from September 2017 to June 2020. Tan's academic journey includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University and a PhD in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
