Aimee de Bruyn

Aimee De Bruyn has extensive work experience in communications and internal communications roles. Aimee is currently the Head of Internal Communications at Petra Diamonds, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Implats for over 11 years, serving as the Head of Communications from 2017 to 2023. At Implats, they played a crucial role in shaping the organization's image and reputation and managed the development and governance of the brand identity. Aimee also worked as a Communications Officer at Implats from 2012 to 2017, executing the internal communication strategy and running all communications for the Services and Plant areas. Before joining Implats, Aimee worked as a Communications Assistant at FNB South Africa and as a Communications Officer at New Concept Mining.

Aimee De Bruyn obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Communications Management from the University of Pretoria from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their National Senior Certificate (Matric) at Selly Park Secondary School from 2001 to 2006. Aimee also has additional certifications, including the Duke Middle Management Programme from Duke University and the Basic Principles of Public Relations from Unisa.
