Hugh Simpson is currently the Director of ESG and Sustainable Investing at Petra Funds Group, where they serve as the delegated head of the ESG function. In this role, they provide advisory and managed ESG solutions to private market investors. Prior to joining Petra Funds Group, Hugh worked as the Sustainable and Impact Investors Lead - Private Markets at KPMG, where they helped clients incorporate ESG throughout the investment cycle. Hugh also has experience working in private markets funds at Deloitte and served as Vice President at MSCI Inc. Hugh started their career as a Production Worker at Taplanes Ltd before transitioning to a role as a Consultant at Mercer.
Hugh Simpson earned a BSc in Economics from the University of East Anglia. Hugh also holds an additional certification in IMC from the CFA Institute.
