Maia Spotts

Maia Spotts is an Associate Attorney at Petrelli Previtera, LLC since September 2025, following an extensive tenure at Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers from November 2017 to September 2025, where roles included Supervising Attorney, Senior Attorney, and Staff Attorney. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Writer at the New York City Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice in early 2017, and self-employment from June 2005 to January 2016, focusing on legal research, writing, and analysis for various projects. Maia has also worked as a Writing Fellow at the Vera Institute of Justice, contributing to the 2014 Legislative Trends report, and held roles with Incarcerated Voices and the New York Center for Juvenile Justice, where research and writing on criminal justice issues were primary responsibilities. Earlier legal experience includes positions as a Senior Law Clerk and Extern at the Los Angeles County Office of the District Attorney. Maia holds a BA in Theatre Studies from Yale University and a Doctor of Law (JD) from Southwestern Law School.
