Giel Janssen

Giel Janssen is an experienced drilling superintendent currently preparing a drilling campaign on the Petrogas UK Baker & Abbey field, a role undertaken since December 2022. With a strong background in senior drilling supervision, Giel has worked with notable companies including CNOOC International, Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Limited, Serica Energy plc, Cairn Oil and Gas, and PETRONAS, specializing in operations such as deepwater drilling in Mexico, high-pressure high-temperature projects, and exploration drilling in diverse environments. Giel holds a degree in Oil and Gas Technology with a focus on Drilling and Production Engineering from Noorderhaaks, Amsterdam University of Applied Science, obtained between 1992 and 1996.
