Thuraiya Balushi

Thuraiya Balushi is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, holding various leadership roles at Petroleum Development Oman since August 2005, including Finance Manager for Infrastructure, Senior People Capability Lead, Head of Treasury, and Senior Financial Accountant. Responsibilities at Petroleum Development Oman encompass monthly reporting to private shareholders, KPI mentoring, system upgrade projects, and preparation of board agendas and annual accounts. Prior to this, Thuraiya served as Finance Manager and Management Accountant at Oman Gas Company, leading significant system implementations. Thuraiya began a career at Shell’s Representative Office in Oman, managing treasury controls, budgeting, payroll processing, and management reporting. Academic credentials include Fellowship ACCA, ACCA Membership in Accounting and Finance, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting and Finance from Sultan Qaboos University.
