Tengku Muhammad Taufik

Muhammad Taufik, became CEO the 1st July 2020. Prior to this role, he had been serving as Petronas’ CFO since October 2018.

He has accumulated 20 years' worth of experience in financial reporting, feasibility reviews, project analysis, capital projects restructuring and risk management with primary focus on the oil and gas industry. Before Joining Petronas he was a partner at PWC Malaysia, serving as the oil and gas leader at the accounting-to-auditing firm.

He was also previously group CFO at SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd (now Sapura Energy Bhd), from December 2012 to January 2015 and as Tanjong Plc deputy CFO.

Tengku Muhammad Taufik graduated as a chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
