Mike Helton

Mike Helton is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in various facets of geophysical interpretation and analysis. Currently serving as a Geophysical Consultant at Petrotechnical Resources Of Alaska (PRA) since February 2020, Helton previously held positions at PRA as a Consulting Geophysicist P.G. and at BP Exploration (Alaska), where significant contributions were made to North Slope developments. Helton's career also includes geophysical roles with BP Americas and Amoco Production Company, where expertise in prospect generation, geophysical support across multiple North American regions, and international projects in Venezuela and West Africa was demonstrated. Educational qualifications include a BS in Geology/Geophysics from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Math Education from Kansas State University.
