PETTIS COUNTY MISSOURI

Pettis County is a political subdivision of the State of Missouri. Established in 1833, the county provides such vital services as road maintenance and fire protection. Approximately 70 percent of the tax revenue generated from property valuations goes to public schools. There are eleven school districts in Pettis County: all of La Monte, Green Ridge, Dresden, Sedalia, Northwest, and Smithton, with parts of Sweet Springs, Knob Noster, Windsor, Cole Camp, and Pilot Grove. We also have State Fair Community College that is partially supported by property tax revenue. The Assessor's Office values all property within Pettis County. Real property is valued every odd year; however, personal property is valued annually. We provide other public services: updating the county GIS webpage, providing various types of information to the public (property owners, banks, title companies, etc.). The office is focused on customer service, providing the most efficient and curteous services possible. The office is located at the Court House, 415 South Ohio in Sedalia (2nd floor). Our office phone is 660-826-5000 x 920.
