Carolyn Spiewak

Director Of Speedskating at Pettit National Ice Center

Carolyn Spiewak is an accomplished professional in the field of speed skating, currently serving as the Director of Speed Skating at Pettit National Ice Center since July 2017 and as a Level 1 Coach with US Speedskating since September 2012. Carolyn has demonstrated leadership through initiatives such as organizing a sports equipment drive for the Boys and Girls Club of West Cook County, Illinois, and conducting a nutrition seminar in collaboration with medical students to benefit athletes and their families. Previous roles include Bookstore Assistant Manager and Young Adult Ministry Intern at Elmbrook Church, where Carolyn organized events and expanded local service project participation, and Campus Staff Member at InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, focusing on team building and student mentoring. Additionally, Carolyn served as Residence Director at Drew University, overseeing the well-being of over 300 students and training resident assistants. Carolyn holds a B.A. in Religious Studies, Biology, and Law & Society from Skidmore College and has pursued ongoing education in Korean.
