Shubash Lohani

Shubash Lohani is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental conservation and sustainable landscapes. Currently serving as Senior Director at The Pew Charitable Trusts since September 2019, Shubash has held various leadership roles within the World Wildlife Fund from November 2003 to September 2019, including Senior Director and Director of Sustainable Landscapes. Shubash has led significant initiatives in the Eastern Himalayas and developed key strategies for forest conservation. Prior experience includes a faculty position at Kathmandu University, where responsibilities involved teaching environmental science and conducting research. Shubash holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from The University of Tokyo and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Biology and Environmental Science from Kathmandu University.
