Boon-Li Wong

Boon-Li Wong is a senior energy trader with over thirteen years of experience in the industry. Boon-Li began their career as a pricing analyst for Essent Energy Trading in 2006. In 2007, they moved to E.ON Energihandel Nordic AB as a portfolio manager. While there, they were responsible for the financial and physical optimization of the oil-indexed gas portfolio, gas demand forecasting, market analysis, and documenting workflow.

In 2008, they transitioned to DONG Energy as a senior trader on the gas, coal and oil desk. At DONG Energy, they traded commodity derivatives and managed oil flow and proprietary books. Boon-Li mainly traded crude oil, fuel oil and gas oil futures, swaps and options. Boon-Li Wong remained with DONG Energy for nine years until they accepted a position as finance business partner with Maersk Tankers in 2017.

In 2020, they became the lead risk manager at A.P. Moller - Maersk before moving to their current role as originator at Pexapark in 2021.

Boon-Li Wong has a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, a MSc in Business Administration: Investments and Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a Certification from Pexapark in Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Academy -Advanced.
