Camila R. Fontes-Garfias

Camila R. Fontes-Garfias, PhD, currently serves as Principal Scientist at Pfizer, beginning this role in March 2021 after transitioning from a Senior Scientist position. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Graduate Student at The University of Texas Medical Branch from August 2015 to February 2021, and a tenure in the US Army from October 2002 to September 2011, where Camila held roles as a Recruiter - Staff Sergeant and Automated Logistical Sergeant. Camila's educational background features a PhD in Biochemistry from The University of Texas Medical Branch, as well as bachelor's degrees in Natural Science & Mathematics and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Thomas Edison State University and Houston Christian University, respectively, along with an associate degree from Central Texas College.
