Kobina Dufu

Kobina Dufu, PhD, currently serves as Executive Director and Head of Hematology at Pfizer since August 2023. Prior to this role, Kobina Dufu was Senior Director and Head of Cell and Translational Biology at Global Blood Therapeutics/Pfizer from March 2022 to August 2022, after serving as Director of Cell and Translational Biology and Associate Director of Biology at Global Blood Therapeutics from July 2012 to March 2022. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Scientist and Scientist II, focusing on drug discovery and characterization specifically for sickle cell disease. Earlier positions include Scientist I at Biogen Idec and Post Doctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School. Kobina Dufu earned a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Harvard University and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
