Matthew Lean, GCS, is an accomplished Class A Golf Course Superintendent with extensive experience in turf management and golf course operations. Currently employed at PGA Golf Club since June 2021, Matthew has honed skills in preparing facilities for major tournaments and implementing advanced technologies. Prior to this role, Matthew revitalized the Monterey Yacht & CC from March 2010 to June 2021 and gained valuable insights as First Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Pipers Landing Yacht and Country Club under the mentorship of an experienced CGCS. Earlier career experiences include golf course maintenance at PGA Country Club, project management at Higgins Brothers Aluminum Construction, and estimating at Seminole Engineering Inc. Matthew holds a degree in Golf Course Operation and Grounds Management from Indian River State College, achieving a 4.0 GPA in core classes.
