Julie Nelson

Julie Nelson is a communications professional with extensive experience in sports management and player relations. Currently working at PGA TOUR since May 2022, Julie has previously held key positions including Director of Player Relations & Business Development at Ascending Athletes, where responsibilities included transitioning former players into NFL Legends Community programs. Other significant roles include Director of Team Communications for the Alliance of American Football, Athletic Media Relations Assistant at SMU Mustangs, and Communications Manager at the NFL Alumni Association. Julie's background also includes assisting communications functions for NFL teams such as the Cleveland Browns and St. Louis Rams, as well as experience in athletics communications at the University of Memphis and Texas A&M University. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Leadership Development & Sports Management from Texas A&M University.
