James Hansell

James Hansell is a Principal Data Scientist at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). Prior to this, James worked as an Associate Director at Navigant and as a Senior Analyst at DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability. James has a Master's degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. James also served as a Course Assistant at Stanford University for courses in the Mathematics Department. James's recent projects involve putting algorithmic phase identification models into production usage within utility cloud environments and modeling energy, ancillary service, and emissions benefits of potential variable speed pumped hydro facilities in the Western U.S.
