Youngsuk Kim

Youngsuk Kim is an accomplished professional in the fields of data science and reliability analytics, currently serving as Senior Manager of Reliability Analytics at Pacific Gas and Electric Company since May 2025. In this role, Youngsuk Kim leads initiatives to develop advanced data science and machine learning models focused on enhancing the reliability of electric transmission and distribution grids, alongside creating a foundational dataset for power outage response. Prior to this, Youngsuk Kim held key positions including Director of Data Science and Head of Resilience Modeling at One Concern, where successful projects included the launch of the One Concern DominoAI resilience analytics platform. Experience also includes roles as Sr. Principal Modeler at RMS and Sr. Research Scientist at EQECAT™, where Youngsuk Kim contributed to model development and validation. Early career as a Research Assistant at the Mid-America Earthquake Center involved creating seismic risk assessment models. Youngsuk Kim earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
