Investment Director Infrastructure at PGGM

Simon Nicolaas has a significant work experience in various companies and roles. Simon started their career in 2006 as an Independent Professional at Poker until 2010. From 2010 onwards, they joined PGGM, initially as a Trainee from 2010-2012. Simon then progressed to the role of Investment Manager Infrastructure from 2011-2019 and currently holds the position of Investment Director Infrastructure starting in January 2020.

In addition to their work at PGGM, Simon Nicolaas has also held roles as a Board Member at LBC Tank Terminals since December 2021, at GLOBALVIA starting from February 2020, and at GEMS Green Energy Management Services from July 2018 to July 2021. Simon also served as a GP Board Member at Civis PFI/PPP Infrastructure Fund from March 2018 to November 2020.

Simon Nicolaas completed their education history chronologically, starting with their VWO at Dalton Den Haag from 1996 to 2002. Simon then pursued a Bsc in Economics and History at Utrecht University from 2002 to 2006. Following this, Simon obtained their Msc in International Economics and Business from Utrecht University between 2006 and 2008. In addition to their formal education, Simon obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder certification from the CFA Institute in June 2015.
