Mike Fisher

Mike Fisher has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Mike started their career in 2007 as a Virtual Classroom Technology Specialist at The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, where they provided support to teachers and trained staff on IT platforms. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Voice Engineer at Advent Communications, specializing in Avaya Voice Implementation and Support for small and medium-sized businesses.

In 2013, Mike joined PNC as a Senior Voice Infrastructure Engineer, where they collaborated on telecom remediation projects and coordinated the migration of multiple sites to Avaya VoIP.

Since 2015, Mike has been working at PGH Networks, starting as a Senior Sys Admin and progressing to Team Lead and currently serving as the Director of IT. In their current role, they oversee the day-to-day operations of project and service teams and handles Tier 3 escalations for data and voice issues. Additionally, Mike has extensive experience in server installation, upgrade/migration, and support, as well as expertise in automation, virtualization, and networking solutions.

Mike Fisher obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Technology from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where they attended from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications, including Microsoft Certified Professional from Pearson VUE in August 2018, ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service from PEOPLECERT in April 2015, Aruba - Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) from Pearson VUE in October 2013, Aruba - Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) from Aruba Networks in July 2012, Avaya Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Communications Solutions (ACSS) from Pearson VUE in September 2018, CCENT from Pearson VUE in March 2013, CCNA from Pearson VUE in September 2013, ACIS - Avaya Aura® Communication Manager and CM Messaging – Embedded (R6.x) from Pearson VUE in January 2013, and Avaya IP Office Implementation Exam (ACIS) from Pearson VUE in April 2012.
