Nikos Tsitas

Nikos Tsitas is a seasoned software engineer specializing in back end development with extensive experience in designing microservices architectures. Currently serving as Lead Back End Developer at Phaistos Networks S.A. since July 2021, Nikos oversees a team focused on Go microservices and real-time notification systems using RabbitMQ. Previous roles include Back End Developer at Netdata, Inc., where Nikos contributed to Cloud monitoring systems utilizing Golang and messaging systems like Apache Pulsar, and at Digitally Imported, Inc., where APIs and internal tools were developed on Ruby on Rails and Go. Nikos began the career with foundational roles at obqo, imonline.gr, Ekdoseis Kounalaki, and Netmechanics Ltd, enhancing skills in API development, hotel management systems, and educational software. Nikos holds a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Science in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of Crete.
