Akshay Hiregoudar

Akshay Hiregoudar is a Senior Perception Engineer at Phantom AI since February 2024, previously holding roles at Trimble Inc. as a Perception Data, Tools, and Test Engineer and an Autonomous Solutions Technical Engineer from November 2020 to December 2023. Akshay also served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory from May 2019 to May 2020, where the focus was on developing a flight control stack for UAVs. As an Autonomous Vehicle Engineer at Ocean Discovery Research Coalition, LLC in early 2019, contributions included the development of an underwater vehicle for pipeline inspection and marine exploration. Early in the career, work included the design of a modular quadrotor at Aero BMSCE and roles in design and manufacturing at Bullz Racing. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Engineering from B. M. S. College of Engineering.
