Javier Vázquez Lozano

Javier Vázquez Lozano has a diverse work experience in the field of computational chemistry and research. Javier began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at the CBDD, where they focused on computer-aided drug design of bioactive molecules. After completing their undergraduate degree, they joined the Universitat de Barcelona as a Graduate Research Intern, working on similarities between people, objects, events, or situations in scientific studies. Javier then continued their studies at the university as a PhD Student and research fellow, specializing in building 3D structures of proteins through homology modeling and phylogenetic analysis. Alongside their academic work, Javier also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Universitat de Barcelona. Recently, they transitioned to the industry and currently works as a Senior Researcher in CADD at Pharmacelera. Overall, Javier has a strong background in computational chemistry and research, with experience in academia and industry.

Javier Vázquez Lozano obtained a PhD in Cheminformatics from Universitat de Barcelona from the year 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a Grado en farmacia from the same university between 2010 and 2015, with a focus on Industria e Investigación farmacéutica.
