R Scott Springford Metcalfe is an experienced public health physician with extensive expertise in epidemiology, health economics, and public health policy. Currently serving as Chief Advisor Population Medicine and Deputy Medical Director at the Pharmaceutical Management Agency (Pharmac) since March 2007, R Scott Metcalfe leads initiatives in clinical governance and prioritization of health services. Additional roles include Inaugural Honorary Principal Policy Fellow at the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine and former Principal Advisor at WorkSafe New Zealand, where R Scott Metcalfe focused on health impact assessments and incorporation of health economics into workplace health strategies.
