Astrid Nørgaard

Astrid Nørgaard is a Senior International Medical Director at Pharmacosmos since May 2019, specializing in surgery and patient blood management. Prior to this role, Astrid served as Deputy Director at Sundhedsstyrelsen, overseeing national healthcare planning, and held various positions such as Acting Deputy Director and Senior Medical Officer at the Danish Health Authority from January 2017 to April 2019. Astrid's experience includes serving as Medical Director at Rigshospitalet, where responsibilities encompassed leading patient blood management initiatives and implementing evidence-based changes in blood transfusion practices. Additionally, Astrid contributed to the academic field as an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, providing education in basic immunology.
