Janan Sarwar

Janan Sarwar is a pharmacist and medical education content developer who has worked in the field for over ten years. Janan is currently a Scientific Director at KnowFully Learning Group, where they create content for continuing medical education (CME) courses. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director of Books and Digital Publishing at the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).

Sarwar received their Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2013. Janan then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before becoming a pharmacist at Walgreens. In 2014, they joined APhA as a book editor before eventually becoming the Senior Director of Books and Digital Publishing.

Sarwar is passionate about developing innovative educational content that meets the needs of both clinicians and patients. In their current role, they are responsible for writing, reviewing, and editing medical education content in various formats, including social media, podcasts, voiceover animation, and infographics. Janan also collaborates with internal teams and faculty to ensure the accuracy and appeal of the content.

Janan Sarwar has a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a B.S. in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and certification in Unconscious Bias, 15 Secrets Successful People Know about Time Management (getAbstract Summary), and The Six Morning Habits of High Performers from LinkedIn. Janan is also certified as a pharmacist by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and as an APhA's Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certificate holder by the American Pharmacists Association.
