Connie Sun

Dr. Connie Sun is Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development. She joined Pharmaron in 2009. Prior to her current role, Dr. Sun served as Senior Director of Chemistry at Poniard Pharmaceuticals and AGY Therapeutics, and Director of Chemistry at SUGEN/Pfizer. She has over 16 years of drug discovery and development experience, and is a co-author and co-inventor of 35 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 47 patent applications. Dr. Sun is an inventor of Sutent and Palladia, marketed by Pfizer for the treatment of multiple cancers in humans and dogs.

Dr. Sun received her B.S. in Medicinal Chemistry from Peking University, Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and post-doctoral training at Parke Davis, Division of Warner Lambert (Pfizer).
