Michael van der Merwe Bsc

Michael van der Merwe holds a BSc, PhD, DipMgmt, and MBA. Currently serving as Site Director at Pharmaron since September 2023, Michael previously worked at Drug Development Solutions as General Manager and Commercial Director from April 2021 to May 2023, during which the company underwent divestment from LGC to Alliance Pharma Inc. Prior to DDS, Michael held multiple roles at LGC, including Assistant General Manager and Commercial Director for Bioanalytical & Analytical Services from July 2013 to April 2021. Michael also gained experience at Quotient Bioresearch Limited from January 2007 to October 2011, where roles included Commercial Director and Director of Business Development in Health Sciences, and began a career in business development at HFL Ltd as a Business Development Manager from February 2005 to December 2006. Academic credentials include an MBA earned from The Open University between March 2009 and August 2011.
