Tony Davies

Tony Davies serves as the Senior Vice President of UK & US CMC at Pharmaron since July 2016, overseeing drug substance and drug product facilities. Prior to this role, Tony held multiple senior positions at MSD from August 2008 to July 2016, including Senior Vice President of PR&D and Vice President of Process R&D, managing significant development labs and contributing to the production of over 100 Merck active pharmaceutical ingredients. Tony's career at Merck also included a role as Director of Six Sigma, where responsibilities included implementing Lean Six Sigma practices in Pre-clinical development. Earlier positions at MSD UK involved the development of environmentally friendly chemical syntheses for drug substances. Tony possesses a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of East Anglia and an MBA in Finance from Cass Business School.
