Director Clinical Research And Pharmacovigilance at Pharmathen

Lida Kalantzi has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Lida currently serves as the Director of Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance at Pharmathen since May 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Scientific Affairs at Pharmathen from July 2020 to April 2023, where they were accountable for the design of clinical development strategy and led global clinical trial activities.

Before joining Pharmathen, Lida worked as the Head of Scientific Affairs from May 2018 to June 2020 and as a Scientific Affairs Manager in the R&D department from March 2016 to April 2018. Lida also held the position of Product Evaluation and Design Manager in the R&D department from December 2011 to February 2016, where they played a crucial role in assessing new products.

Earlier in their career, Lida gained valuable experience as a Clinical Assessor at the National (Greek) Organization for Medicines from November 2008 to December 2011. In this role, they were responsible for assessing preclinical and clinical modules in applications for marketing authorizations of new drug products. Lida also served as a PDCO member at the European Medicines Agency, reviewing paediatric investigation plans and managing communication with medical authorities.

Lida's earlier roles include being a Senior Scientist in the Scientific Affairs Department at Pharmathen from September 2007 to November 2008, and a Senior Scientist in Pharmaceutical Development at GlaxoSmithKline from October 2005 to May 2007.

Overall, Lida Kalantzi has a wealth of experience in clinical research, scientific affairs, and pharmaceutical development, making their a valuable asset in the field of pharmaceuticals.

Lida Kalantzi obtained a Degree in Pharmacy from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Athens in 1998. Lida then pursued their MSc in Industrial Pharmacy at the same institution from 1998 to 2000. In 2005, they completed their PhD in Biopharmaceutics, also at the School of Pharmacy, University of Athens.
