Melissa Zonneveld-Mulder

Melissa Zonneveld-Mulder has a strong background in toxicology and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. From 2019 to present, they have been working at Pharvaris as the Director of Toxicology. Prior to that, they held the position of Associate Director of Toxicology at Pharvaris from 2019 to 2022. Before joining Pharvaris, Melissa worked at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. as a Scientist in Toxicology from 2015 to 2019, where they completed postgraduate education in toxicology. Melissa also served as a Senior Technician in the Pre-Clinical team at Prosensa Therapeutics B.V. from 2010 to 2014, contributing to the discovery and development of RNA modulating therapeutics. Melissa's earlier experience includes working as a Research Technician at Leiden University Medical Center from 2005 to 2010, primarily in the Transgenesis unit and Human Genetics Department. Melissa began their career as a Technician at AMC in 2003 and completed an internship at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience in 2002.

Melissa Zonneveld-Mulder completed their education from 1999 to 2003 at Hogeschool Leiden, where they obtained a BsC degree in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research. In February 2017, they also obtained a certification as a European Registered Toxicologist from the Dutch Society for Toxicology.
