Lauren Burgess

Lauren Burgess has a diverse work experience in the scientific and medical fields. Starting in 2019, they worked at Phase Genomics, where they began as a Research Intern, gaining knowledge and skills in genomic analysis and genome assembly. Lauren later advanced to the role of Research Associate I, where they focused on utilizing next-generation sequencing technology for processing customer samples and improving protocols. In their most recent role at Phase Genomics as a Research Associate II, they demonstrated mastery in next-generation sequencing library quality control and operation of sequencing instruments.

Additionally, Lauren has experience at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital as an Infectious Disease Medical Scribe, where they accurately documented provider-patient interactions and assisted with administrative tasks to enhance efficiency.

Lauren Burgess pursued their education at the University of Washington starting in 2017 and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in 2021. Lauren obtained their Bachelor of Science certification from the same institution in December 2021.
