Carole Owen

Carole Owen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in microbial fermentation and strain improvement, currently serving as a Research Associate III at Catalent Pharma Solutions since January 2020. Prior to this role, Carole held various positions at DSM, including Physiology Scientist II and Fermentation Scientist, contributing to significant projects in algal isolate generation and yeast strain optimization. Previous experience also includes senior roles at Martek Biosciences, IMET, Advanced Biotechnologies Inc., the Biotechnology Research Institute, MD Anderson Research Center, and The Johns Hopkins University, where responsibilities ranged from lab management to conducting complex molecular biology research. Carole holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Earlham College, earned in 1982.
