Joel Stornaiuolo

Joel Stornaiuolo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting from 2021, they have served as the Head of Business Finance at Phase One. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2021, they worked as the Group Controller - Group Financial Planning & Analysis at Nets Group. Before that, from 2018 to 2019, they held the position of Business Controller - Business Finance at Nets Group.

In 2017, Joel took a sabbatical and embarked on an overland journey covering 35,000 kilometers and 20+ countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia with a self-made campervan. Their travel reportage was featured in the Swedish travel magazine "Vagabond" in February 2018.

From 2013 to 2017, Joel worked for ABB, where they participated in their Global Trainee Programme in Finance and Business Control. During this time, they held various positions including Project Controller for Large & Medium Power Transformers, Internal Auditor, Country Controlling, and Financial Analyst. Joel gained experience in project management, auditing, financial analysis, and controlling activities at both country and divisional levels.

In 2011, Joel completed an internship in Corporate Finance/M&A at PwC. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Truck Driver CE at Retralog, performing heavy-duty container transports for clients such as the Swiss postal service, Migros, and Conforama. Joel also served as a Soldier in the Swiss Armed Forces from 2007 to 2008.

Joel Stornaiuolo obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich between 2008 and 2011. Joel later pursued a Master's degree in Finance and Accounting at the University of St.Gallen from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, in 2014, they completed an exchange semester at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where they studied MBA with a focus on Finance and Business Administration.
