David Pereira

David Pereira is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as the Lead Applications Scientist at Phase Scientific International Limited since November 2017. In this role, David has played a crucial part in conducting a multicenter clinical study leading to the FDA Emergency Use Authorization of the INDICAID COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test and manages collaborations related to cancer liquid biopsy with esteemed partners such as MD Anderson Cancer Center and UCLA. Prior to this, David held the position of Lead Research Scientist at the same company, where significant contributions were made to various product development initiatives. David’s earlier experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at UCLA, where innovative methods to enhance lateral-flow assays were developed. David holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UCLA and a B.S. in Biochemistry from UC Santa Barbara. Additionally, David is actively involved in tutoring high school students with cognitive learning disabilities through Creative Academics.
