David Anderson has over 30 years of experience in the communications and web development field. David began their career in 1992 as a System Administrator at Medaille College. In 1996, they became the Webmaster at SUNY Plattsburgh, where they were responsible for leading content development and authoring and editing content for the school's entire website. David also developed and implemented the college's first content management system. In 2002, they joined the University at Buffalo as a Webmaster for CIT, where they coordinated all aspects of the content and visual design team management. David also facilitated art direction for creation of visual communications and maintained UBIT's websites and services. In 2010, they joined Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo as the Director of Communications, where they mentored, supervised, and coached creative teams while devising and implementing data-driven multi-channel content strategies. David also oversaw content development processes and reviewed operational policies and procedures. In 2022, they joined Phase2 as a Content Operations Strategist.
David Anderson obtained a BA in Liberal Studies from Medaille University between 1987 and 1992. In 2002, they received a Certificate in Accessible Information Technology from the University of Maine. In 2022, they obtained three certifications from LinkedIn: Ideation for Marketers, UX Foundations: Content Strategy, and UX Research: Journey Mapping.
