Gerardo Torres Almeida

Gerardo Torres Almeida has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Gerardo currently works as an Associate Developer at Phase2 since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Category Manager at Panasonic from December 2020 to March 2022, where they were responsible for P&L, planning, inventory days, and product life cycle management. At Diamond Electronics, where they worked from December 2015 to March 2020 as a Senior Product Planning Manager, Gerardo was in charge of P&L, purchasing budget, sales forecast, demand planning, and portfolio definition. Gerardo achieved notable accomplishments such as a 33% growth in YoY retail business and 4% to 7% growth in market share in the telecom business. Before that, Gerardo held multiple positions at Elektra, including Senior Buyer for the Computer Segment and Product Development and Customer Service Manager. In these roles, they oversaw procurement, vendor/supplier research, negotiation, as well as product development and launch. Gerardo also worked at Grupo Iusacell as a Jr. Product Manager, handling price negotiation and design/development of promotional resources. Gerardo started their career at Elektra as a Jr. Buyer for Unefon and Iusacell, where they focused on portfolio selection and achieving profit and inventory goals. Throughout their career, Gerardo has demonstrated their ability to drive financial growth, optimize inventory, and successfully manage product life cycles.

From 2000 to 2005, Gerardo Torres Almeida attended Universidad Iberoamericana in Ciudad de México. Gerardo received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering.
