Kiyarash Rahbar

Kiyarash Rahbar is a highly experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at Phasic Energy since December 2022, specializing in waste heat recovery engines. With a strong background in academia and research, Kiyarash has held roles such as Recognized Reviewer for Elsevier, conducting over 100 peer reviews since 2015, and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, contributing to departmental projects while mentoring doctoral candidates. Kiyarash attained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, where research focused on optimizing small-scale turbines for waste heat recovery, resulting in 14 published papers as lead author. Additionally, Kiyarash has worked as an Associate Research Fellow at the University of Tehran, researching waste heat recovery systems, and has experience in product development through innovative projects funded by the European Union Regional Development Fund.
