Justin Scholz

Justin Scholz has a diverse range of work experience. Justin is currently the Founder and CEO of Phelas, a position they have held since February 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Software-QA-Analyst at in-motion GmbH | München, where they were involved in projects for BMW from November 2019 to June 2021.

Before joining in-motion GmbH, Justin worked at Mapper as a Junior Experimental Physicist/Systems Engineer and System Install Manager from October 2018 to February 2019. Justin also had a brief stint as a Software Engineer Medical and Industrial AI + Business strategy at Cellmatiq GmbH from July 2018 to August 2018.

Justin's work experience also includes a period of world travel from March 2017 to March 2018, during which they volunteered in a social project in Brazil and gained life experience in various countries.

Justin co-founded Knolz in October 2011 and served as its CEO until December 2017. Additionally, Justin worked as a Research Assistant at Universität Augsburg from December 2014 to December 2016. Justin also held positions as a Studentische Hilfskraft and Tutor for the course Materials Science 1 at the same institution from October 2013 to February 2014.

Justin's earlier work experience includes a brief role as a Metallarbeiter at Federal-Mogul Powertrain in August 2016, a summer internship at Deloitte Deutschland in June 2011, and a sales position at Ludwig Stocker Hofpfisterei GmbH, a local bakery, from August 2009 to April 2011.

Justin Scholz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen / Industrial Engineering from the University of Augsburg in 2015. Justin then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Materials Science from the same university in 2017.
