Masoud Ghods has a diverse range of work experience. Masoud is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Phelas, where they are involved in developing reliable technology for Liquid Air Energy Storage. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University from September 2017 to February 2021.

Before their academic role, Masoud worked as a Research Assistant at Cleveland State University from August 2012 to July 2017. Here, they conducted NASA-supported research on the effect of convection on dendritic morphology and chemical inhomogeneity during crystallization/solidification of alloys. Masoud was responsible for designing and implementing the necessary set-up to achieve desired processing conditions.

Earlier in their career, Masoud worked as a Research Engineer at Sharif Engineering Process Development Company (SEPDCO) from June 2011 to July 2012. Masoud also served as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Sharif University of Technology from January 2010 to June 2012. During this time, they focused on various projects related to HIV phase-I, statistical modeling of chemical plant unit operations, and the design and control of a nonlinear CSRT reactor.

Masoud Ghods completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from 2004 to 2009. Masoud then pursued a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Process Modeling, Simulation, and Control at Sharif University of Technology from 2009 to 2012. Lastly, Masoud obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University between 2012 and 2017.
