Casey Burton, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional in healthcare research and innovation, currently serving as the Executive Director of Research and Governmental Affairs at Phelps Health since June 2017. In this role, Casey spearheads strategic initiatives to influence public policy, secure funding, and enhance healthcare efficiencies. Previous positions include Director of Health Innovation & Policy and Director of Medical Research at Phelps Health, where substantial research programs were developed. Additionally, Casey holds the title of Adjunct Professor at Missouri University of Science and Technology, participating in federally funded research projects. As the founder and CEO of Sapentia Development, LLC, Casey has created digital publications and journals. Academic achievements include receiving the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow distinction and conducting pioneering cancer detection research during doctoral studies in Analytical Chemistry at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
