Emmet Welch

Emmet Welch has extensive experience in the field of research and development, primarily within the separation science and chromatography sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of R&D at Phenomenex since September 2000, Emmet leads technology and product development efforts, manages departmental operations, and oversees budgets. Previous roles include President of InventX, Inc., where Emmet managed P&L and all operational aspects for a manufacturer of gas chromatography columns, and Director of Business Development at Zkey.com, focusing on strategic partnerships. Earlier career positions at Phenomenex included Global Brand Manager and Sales Manager. Emmet holds a BS in Biology/Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
