George Ugras

George Ugras is a Managing Director at AV8 Ventures, focusing on investments in early-stage start-ups. Ugras also serves as a Board Member for PlanetiQ, UCSF Health Hub, and Locomation, and holds investor roles at Alpha Medical and Phenomic AI. Ugras is a co-founder of CyteGen, which aims to discover treatments for significant diseases affecting an aging population. Additional roles include Directorship at Contract Wrangler, Inc., and participation in the Committee for Space Electronics at Caltech/JPL. Ugras earned a PhD in Applied Physics from Yale University and a BS in Physics from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
