Ernest Owens

Ernest Owens, M.A., is a multifaceted media professional currently serving as Political Writer at Large for Philadelphia magazine and as a Radio Host for Philadelphia City Council Live on WURD Radio. Owens is also the CEO of Ernest Media Empire, LLC., specializing in writing, communications, and consulting for organizations focused on public service. As President of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, Owens leads meetings and acts as the organization's spokesperson, while also contributing as a Pop Culture Writer for TheGrio. Additionally, Owens holds adjunct professor positions at both the Community College of Philadelphia and Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Academic credentials include a Master of Communication Management from USC Annenberg School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
