Philadelphia Education Fund
Brandi Ashley is an experienced educator and program coordinator with a focus on college access and student readiness. Currently serving as the College Access Program Coordinator and GEAR UP Specialist at the Philadelphia Education Fund since November 2020, Brandi implements strategies to enhance post-secondary preparation and collaborates with educational staff to foster a career and college readiness culture. Previous roles include Education Director at Ebenezer SDA Church, where Brandi supported local families and promoted Christian education, as well as a Program Associate at the Philadelphia Education Fund, assisting high school students with college applications and readiness workshops. Brandi's extensive background in educational settings includes positions at Belmont Charter Network, New Foundations Charter School, Spark Program, City Year, and the University of Pittsburgh, complemented by a Master of Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.

Founded in 1985, PEF is a comprehensive provider of college and career advising services – serving students attending 6 of the City’s lowest graduation-rate high schools; consulting with schools on the creation of college-going cultures; awarding $600,000 in scholarship aid annually; operating the college access portal, www.PhillyGoes2College.org; and delivering career exposure programming to students and teachers and through its stewardship of the 400-member Philadelphia STEM Ecosystem and the Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective, a 10-year partnership with GSK.
